I have seen many Astrologers talk about the Debilitation of any planet, Like if Debilitated Jupiter is sitting in the Ascendant then astrologers regard them as Moraless person which is like many people would be having Capricorn Ascendant and Jupiter stays deblitated for 1 year, so do you think that every person who would be having Capricorn Ascendant with Jupiter into it will be having such character? Obviously NO! So how do we decide whether any planet is actually debilitated or not?? In classical texts like Phaldeepika In Ch7 : Shloka 26, it is mentioned that if the planet is debilitated at birth then, 1) if the dispositor of the Debilitated planet is in Kendra (1,4,7,10) from Lagna/Moon
2) If the exalted Rashi Lord for this debilitated planet is in Kendra(1,4,7,10) from Lagna/Moon
3) If the debilitated planet is sitting with Exalted planet or Own Sign Planet.
Although, these are the points mentioned in the classical texts but in my traditional position of dispositor of the debilitated planet in Navamsha holds a very important role, so if the dispositor of the Debilitated planet is Exalted or own Sign in Navamsha then it also cancels the debilitation of the planet.
For Example, If you have Moon in Scorpio, Mars is not fulfilling the 1st, 2nd, 3rd rule then you should see the 3rd condition mentioned above and if Mars is exalted in Navamsha then the Debilitated of Moon will get cancelled.
In the next two shlokas of Phaladeepika of Chapter 7, it is also mentioned that
4) If the Lord of exalted Sign of Debilitated Planet and Dispositor of Debilitated planet are in Kendra to each other then also cancellation of Debilitation occurs.
5) If the Dispositor of the Debilitated planet is aspecting this Debilitated planet (basically means the planet aspecting its own Rashi) then also cancellation of Debilitation occurs.
